Every year, the Maui Film Festival takes place in Wailea. Films are screened in the beautiful Castle Theatre at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, as well as under the stars at the Celestial Cinema on the Wailea Gold Golf Course and the Seaside Cinema at the Grand Wailea Resort. It truly is an experience to spread your blanket or set up your chair outside and watch hula dancers perform before the screenings begin each night! Finally, finish off your film festival experience on June 18th at the Taste of Wailea. The best chefs of Maui will set up their tents across the Wailea Gold and Emerald Golf Courses to try and wow your taste buds. This is your chance to taste traditional Hawaiian dishes at their best as well as culinary flavors from around the world. Don’t worry about the calories, you can always hike up a dormant volcano later!
